Designed for anglers chasing river sharks with smaller live baits, the River Pup combines a comfortable heavy-duty top shot with a lighter bite wire for excellent bait presentation without sacrificing strength.

Why we built it

The River Pup isn’t designed to be the heaviest rig on the market—it’s designed to be one of the most practical.

The 2.0 mm mono top shot is intentionally oversized for comfortable hand-leading when landing sharks. It won’t dig into your hands the way lighter leaders can, making shark control beside the boat or on the bank safer and more comfortable.

The lighter 1.5 mm bite wire allows smaller live baits to swim naturally, while the reinforced Flemish-twist section above the swivel adds extra protection in the area that most commonly rubs against a shark’s teeth during the fight.
